Take a stroll about the sanctuary, get to know the animals, and lend a helping hand. Volunteering at Wildwood Farm Sanctuary is a fun and meaningful way to spend a few hours!

As an all-volunteer non-profit with no paid staff, an abundance of “heart” work goes in to running a farm sanctuary and caring for our beloved family. We’d be honored if you could help out and we just know you’ll leave with well-fed spirit, knowing that you’ve helped our precious farm animal ambassadors. Our volunteer parties are held approximately 1-2 times per month. We welcome children of all ages under adult supervision. Volunteer waivers are provided for signing upon check-in.
Please see the calendar below and find a date that best works for you. We welcome email (
*Note about Pets*: While we are all HUGE animal lovers here, we ask that you please leave your dogs and other furry friends at home when you come to visit the sanctuary. Dogs can frighten our residents, and since this is their home we want them to feel as secure as possible! We also ask that you do not bring your dogs and leave them in the car, especially since summer is coming up.
NOTE: This is not a requirement to attending a regularly scheduled work party. If you are interested in becoming a regular volunteer or helping out with special projects outside of our volunteer work parties, please complete the following application and turn it in to us at a work party, mail it to us (15481 NE North Valley Road, Newberg, OR 97132), or email to
Our waiver must be filled out by all volunteers prior to any type of volunteering. We will have copies available to sign at work parties, or the form can be printed off at home to bring to your next visit at the sanctuary.
Rainy season public tour closure: Due to the rainy and muddy season here in Oregon, Wildwood Farm Sanctuary is now closed for the season. Our visiting season runs May through October. We host work parties year-round, every other Sunday from 10-noon as our animal residents still need clean fresh stalls, feeding and socialization on an ongoing basis. We hope you’ll join us and bring your friends along! Even outside of visiting season, we appreciate your financial support. Please consider making a donation to support our life-long commitment to our residents.
During visiting season: Wildwood Farm Sanctuary is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC for drop-in visits. We love welcoming visitors so everyone can see how very special our residents are, so we make it a priority to hold special events and periodic public tours during visiting season. When visiting, please allow extra time for finding the sanctuary. We request a $5 minimum donation per person for our tours to help support the sanctuary. Since we have an all-volunteer staff, we’re unable to offer private tours on weekdays, but offer a public tour approximately once a month.
